Work has started on developing the first European cybersecurity certification scheme
Work has started on implementation of Regulation 2019/881 of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) of 17 April 2019 on ENISA (the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity) and on information and communications technology cybersecurity certification (Cybersecurity Act – CSA).
On 27 November 2019, an ad hoc Working Group has been established to support the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) in creation of cybersecurity certification program for ICT products. The purpose of this first group is preparation of a European Commission executive act which scope is related to transformation of the SOG-IS MRA certification system into a European cybersecurity certification scheme compatible with CSA.
20 prominent certification experts were selected from several hundred candidates. One of them is dr inż. Elżbieta Andrukiewicz who is the manager for KSO3C project and the head of the first IT Security Evaluation Facility in Poland, which has been recently opened at the National Institute of Telecommunications.
